Matis Creative is an interior design firm led by Maria Matis Kennedy.
Hers is a 360 degree approach in creating intangible feeling and beautiful environments. Her method is to analyze the sociology of a space.
The firm does not believe in prescriptive design. Each project is treated as its own unique aesthetic.
With over 15 years of experience in branding, she has worked for large fashion corporations, like Calvin Klein, to successful start-ups, like Reformation, and almost everything in-between. She has also owned her own brand, and gone through all the creative hurdles of representation.
In 2017 a friend approached her about designing a condo renovation, and that opportunity led her into interior design work. Extending a feeling from person to place really resonated with her. She began a master's degree in Interior Architecture at UCLA, and has never looked back.
The firm welcomes extensive residential remodels and custom furnishing, and has experience working with developers on multi-family apartment complexes and office spaces.
Maria's impeccable eye, and love for psychology guides each project with a thoughtful hand.
